Dr. Paul Spargo- Senior Pastor
Dr. Spargo is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Cornell University, a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Rice Seminary, and a Doctor of Theology degree from Covington Theological Seminary. Dr. and Mrs. Spargo, his sweetheart since the eighth grade, have two sons: Jonathan and Nathan.
Dr. Spargo was called to preach after almost 15 years in the business world working for several major corporations. Following his ordination, Pastor Spargo resigned his position as Vice President of an international printing corporation to serve as the Associate Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Tallahassee, Florida.
In 1995 Pastor Spargo moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he became Associate Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church and Assistant Professor of Christian Education at Trinity Baptist College. In June 2001 he moved to Montgomery, Alabama to become Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church.

Jonathan Spargo- Assistant Pastor of Student Ministries
Jonathan joined the pastoral staff in May 2007 after receiving his B.S. Degree in Church Ministries with a concentration in Youth Ministry from Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida. He was ordained at Calvary Baptist Church. His responsibilities include ministering to the youth on a weekly basis as well as managing the missions ministry.
Jonathan and his wife, Stephanie, enjoy serving in ministry together with their three children, Adison, Kaelyn and Landon.

Vanessa Gray- Senior Pastor’s Secretary
Vanessa has been a member of Calvary since 1994, and has served faithfully as the church secretary since December of 2001. Upon completion of high-school, she attended Auburn University at Montgomery before pursuing a career as an office manager at a local business.
Vanessa serves in many capacities at Calvary; however, she finds the most joy in working with our music ministry. She can be found in the choir, in quartets and trios, and working with our teens and children’s singing groups.
